Each part of the mechatronic product development will be divided into divisible tasks and sub-tasks. For example, in the mechanical part, tasks concerning the chassis can be separated from tasks concerning locomotion. The aim of this division is to be able to assign tasks to internal or external players. This division will be carried out by the project manager and the company's technical management or a "product man" (a person with overall knowledge of the product's structure and operation).
