5. Update your project plan and document best practices
The project management plan is a document that must be accepted and approved by the stakeholders involved. It's a document that everyone will agree is realistic, and will form the basis of your controls throughout the project! The dates of validation by each stakeholder will be recorded in the reference document.
Project changes and evolutions will often require updating the PMP. In your reference project management plan, plan to enter revision dates and update the relevant data.
Plan meetings with your stakeholders at the end of each phase to review the management of the project plan, highlight best practices (REX) for later application in your current project, and capitalize on them at the end of the project for future projects.
