4. Effective conflict resolution
Project managers use a combination of human, conceptual and technical talents to analyze situations and develop constructive relationships within the project team. These talents are not limited to project situations.
Without wishing to be exhaustive here on a subject that goes far beyond professional experience alone, we would nevertheless point out that leadership qualities and the development of a team spirit play a key role in project management. Project managers in conflict management situations need to emphasize – and, if necessary, question – their ability to influence, motivate, listen, communicate, negotiate and make decisions.
