1. Insert a project or sub-project
Open the project into which you intend to insert another project and the task in whose place the project is to be inserted.
Under [Insert/Project](MS Project 2007), or in the [Project] tab of the ribbon (MS Project 2010), click on [Sub-project]. Check that the [Link to project] option is enabled at the bottom of the dialog box. Click on [Insert].
Important
MS Project 2010 doesn't give a predecessor or successor to the sub-project that has remained at its own start date, which requires the creation of links between the tasks of the main project and the tasks of the inserted project.
