3. Update the project by loading
Updating the project by workload means entering the actual work done by resources, rather than the actual duration of tasks. Entering by actual duration often does not reveal any slippage. Entering by actual work may show a higher level of progress than would have been calculated by MS Project.
By default, actual work shows actual duration: display [Gantt Tracking]. In the ribbon's [View] tab, open the table list and select the [Work] table. Check the [Details] option in [Split display] and select [Job form] to enter job data. However, "regular" project work does not necessarily correspond to the reality of projects, and actual work must sometimes be defined on the basis of a load plan for your resources.
