4. Planning resources
Once you've added tasks to your project, think about who needs to carry them out. Remember that adding people and assigning tasks are two separate activities in Project.
If you're new to project management, you'll no doubt realize that there are more things to consider than simply adding tasks, such as how many people to assign to each task, how to account for their time off, and how and where to store personal information such as phone numbers, e-mail addresses and salary information.
Determine the types of resources you can assign to project tasks. Once you've gathered the necessary information about the tasks, identify the types of resources you'll need.
