4. Who are the main players involved?
All players directly or indirectly involved in project and/or program management are concerned. Setting up a portfolio has consequences not only for the distribution of roles and responsibilities among them, but also for the behaviors expected to ensure that the system delivers the expected results.
Firstly, the management teams of each project or program will have to manage an additional "stakeholder" and activities related to this new relationship, particularly with regard to project progress, difficulties encountered, risks and opportunities, planned developments and their impact.
This also applies to the support functions that provide assistance to the projects and programs now included in the portfolio, particularly in terms of priority in the provision of deliverables or resources.
