Tips for writing an effective technical report

At this point, the reader is familiar with all the main points of the document. The rest of the document is more typical for engineers used to "school" reports. You should be able to find all the information and reasoning that went into the study, and the results presented in the operational summary.

A suggested structure for such a document is as follows:

• table of contents: page numbering is essential to enable readers to quickly find the part of the document that interests them;

• introduction/background: set out the objectives of the document in detail, and place them in the context of the project in which the study is being carried out. You can refer to your project's follow-up file;
