"Expressing your needs means knowing what you want.
Regardless of the size of the project, the most important element in the quotation or site preparation process is the definition of the qualitative and quantitative commitment of materials and labor, 80% of which constitutes the construction price.
For this commitment to run smoothly, the project manager and the contractors need to be able to speak the same language. By drawing up, or having drawn up, documents that can be used directly by the contractors, and by analyzing all the constraints of the project sufficiently far in advance, site preparation aims to facilitate the mobilization and implementation of the means of execution. However, it does not (except in the special case of site management) prepare the actual execution of the work, which is the direct responsibility of the contractors....
