5. Examples of diagramming areas
We will present four areas of schematic design, which are covered by standards that can be referred to.
5.1 Electrical circuits
Electrical diagrams use simple conventions to illustrate the different states of an electrical circuit according to the positions taken by the switching devices (switches, changeover switches, relays, contactors, etc.). The symbols and the way in which circuits are represented are standardized by a European standard .
