The following definition is sometimes used:
The human factor :
"People, their behaviors and operating methods, and the internal and external factors that influence these behaviors. The impact of these behaviors on quality and reliability."
These operating modes concern man in his physiological, psychological and sociological dimensions.
Internal factors relate to the operator's individual characteristics. External factors relate more specifically to work organization and environment. Please refer to table
