3. Choosing a flow management model

The preceding paragraphs have provided a brief overview of some of the main flow management models.

Making a choice for your company, deciding whether or not to invest large sums in a particular computerized management system, is a difficult decision to make, especially if you're not a supply chain specialist.

In fact, choosing a model is a matter of :

  • of an organizational choice, i.e. to understand the logics driving these models, and to choose the one that will effectively achieve the company's objectives;

  • change management, which is undoubtedly the most important aspect of a successful approach.
