Transport is an integral part of this competitiveness, and in this sense it must be optimized. But optimizing transport should not be confined to the maritime segment. It must apply to the entire transport chain, from production to consumption. Consideration of the competitiveness and quality of the transport chain must encompass not only maritime transport, but also pre- and post-shipment land transport, whether by road, rail, inland waterway or combined transport, as well as all procedures (customs clearance, insurance, banking)....
