2. Specific features of in-building telecommunications

Like all information systems, on-board telecommunication systems must be highly interoperable, i.e. within the same building, the various applications, tactical or non-tactical, must be able to exchange information to achieve maximum efficiency in accomplishing a given mission. Of course, this interoperability will be all the easier to achieve the closer the protocol stacks used by each application are to each other.

Example
Take, for example, the problem of time stamping, which concerns virtually all applications. If we want to avoid each application generating and using its own time management system, they will all have to "subscribe"...
