Silica is the natural form of silicon dioxide (SiO2), a constituent of many minerals.

Rolling resistance is defined as the energy lost per unit distance traveled by the tire.

An elastomer is a polymer with "elastic" properties, obtained after cross-linking. It can withstand very large deformations before breaking.
Viscoelasticity; viscoelasticity
Viscoelasticity is the property of a material to dissipate energy in the form of heat when it undergoes deformation.
LCV (Lower Heating Value)
The net calorific value is a property of fuels. It is the amount of heat released by the complete combustion of a unit of fuel, with steam assumed to be uncondensed and heat unrecovered.
