INTRODUCTION
Since 2013, a general momentum has been building around the technological, economic and cultural challenges facing French industry. Major modernization projects aim to use digital technology to transform companies' business models, organizations, design and communication methods. Robotics, 3D printing, artificial intelligence, biomimicry, mass customization... companies need to understand the stakes and opportunities of these new technologies and innovative concepts, in order to identify those that can be truly useful and beneficial to them. Of course, there are as many factories of the future as there are factories themselves. It all depends on the sector concerned, the size of the plant, the technology used, its location and the markets served.
