Summary
LiFi, or Light Fidelity, is an optical telecommunications technology
that transmits information by modulating a visible light source. Standardized
since 2011, and associated with the intensive deployment of LEDs,
this technology offers performance potential that makes it an excellent
communications medium, complementing radio frequency technologies.
The components of a LiFi transmission chain are similar to those of
a fiber-optic chain, with the added concern of being free from environmental
conditions generating disturbances, given the optical band used. There
