4. Principle of magnetic refrigeration systems: AMR systems
The AMR (Active Magnetic Regenerator) was proposed by Barclay J.A., Steyert W.A. (1982). Since then, this architecture has been used in the majority of demonstrators developed. In this structure, a fluid (usually water) circulates alternately in a regenerator based on magnetocaloric material. Here, heat exchange is controlled by moving a fluid. Considering a parallel-plate regenerator and the symmetry of the problem, the study focuses on a half-blade of fluid and MMC as shown in figure
