We provide a tool for self-assessment of your company's state of innovation performance measurement. This tool is to be implemented by interviewing a small number of executives involved in innovation management.
We then comment on the use and reported relevance of these indicators for the major French companies consulted in the study.
The number of patents filed is not considered to be very representative of innovation performance, as it depends on the company's publication policy (some companies do not publish what is not visible to the market – typically internal processes), and because it does not, on its own, reflect the rate of transformation...
