Each bookmark can be tagged by the user. This not only makes it easier to find bookmarks, but also to create feeds to follow a particular tag.

Tags can be added at any time, either when the bookmark is added, or at a later date.

To enter expressions as tags, use quotation marks (e.g. "intelligence économique") or the underscore character (e.g. intelligence_économique).

Tags appear on the left-hand side of the Diigo interface. You can use them to search your favorites library. The "edit" button lets you modify or delete them. This displays all tags already assigned, sorted alphabetically, with the number of occurrences for each. This makes it easy to spot "allocation errors" (keywords present in both singular and plural forms, for example) and remedy them by merging several tags or modifying their wording....
