Two types of platform
A general distinction is made between :
kinetic" platforms, which enable packaging and means of transport to be adjusted to the needs of moving goods;
static" platforms – where the marketing operations (storage, terminal assembly, order preparation, etc.) essential to the marketing of the goods concerned and to optimizing the cost/quality of service ratio are carried out.
