3. Outlook and developments

The main advantages and disadvantages of aquaponics are outlined below. The main point is that aquaponics offers a sustainable solution to the current agricultural crisis, even in an urban setting. However, the lack of know-how and training in France, as well as the high cost of infrastructure, are still holding back its widespread development.
