Towards an innovation ethic
Innovate with consciousness. The P.S.I. approach

Since the 1970s, a number of approaches have been developed to provide a framework for the development of innovations. For example, the questions raised by technological development and its possible risks have led to the creation of numerous technology assessment bodies, such as the Office of Technology Assessment, set up in 1972 in the United States, and the Office parlementaire d'évaluation des choix scientifiques et technologiques (OPECST) in France in 1982. What these approaches have in common is that, in societies built with and on innovation, they contribute to the deployment of a general ethic of innovation, making it possible to "regulate" the genesis and dissemination of these innovations.
