Towards a new professional identity in research?
Support for participatory research: the « third-watchers » system

Installed in a highly emergent context and largely dependent on funding, the third-party watchdog's support missions do not currently cover very stabilized roles and intervention modalities. A few initiatives have been launched to identify these intervention modalities, notably around a seminar bringing together some fifty people involved in CO3 projects in November 2018. On these occasions, it emerged that different activities characterize the accompaniment of participatory research in various intervention contexts. We have attempted to summarize them in the following table, following an initial attempt by Sciences Citoyennes.
