Let's assume that the result of the weighting between 3 alternatives, denoted e _i , is known in advance: e ₁ = 10%, e ₂ = 30%, e ₃ = 60%, totaling 100% importance.

The basic cross-sorting methods found in some textbooks recommend filling in an upper half matrix (table), with the rows and columns corresponding to the alternatives, putting in each matrix cell :

• the most important element in the pair of alternatives ( e _line , e _column ) ;

• accompanied by a number 0, 1, 2 or 3 according to the degree of superiority...
