How can you check that your software is weighting correctly?
Choosing or weighing alternative solutions

Let's assume that the result of the weighting between 3 alternatives, denoted e _i, is known in advance: e ₁ = 10%, e ₂ = 30%, e ₃ = 60%, totaling 100% importance.

The basic cross-sorting methods found in some textbooks recommend filling in an upper half matrix (table), with the rows and columns corresponding to the alternatives, putting in each matrix cell :

• the most important element in the pair of alternatives ( e _line, e _column ) ;

• accompanied by a number 0, 1, 2 or 3 according to the degree of superiority (0: equivalent importance, 1: slightly superior importance, 2: superior, 3: very superior).

Applying this "recipe" to the best advantage, we fill a half-matrix with :

• e ₂ (30%) which dominates e ₁ (10%)...
