4. Articulating visual content and oral discourse
The pitch deck is a support, not a prompter. Too many project managers hide behind their slides, instead of using them to reinforce their message. Conversely, a well-designed support amplifies the oral discourse, clarifies key ideas and supports decision-making. This relationship between content and form must be taken into account right from the pitch design stage.
The slide doesn't repeat what you say: it complements or illustrates it.
Every word spoken must have a visual echo on the slide.
Eye and ear must be synchronized: rhythm, transitions, pause times.
