Competitive intelligence is the monitoring of competitors' news and activities. Competitive intelligence can cover a wide range of subjects, such as patents filed by competitors, identification of their market share and prices, production capacity, social policy, recruitment and departures, etc.
The objective is unique: to have as much information as possible on competitors, so as to decipher their moves as early as possible, and even "guess" what they're going to do.
