4. Two examples of Lean Startup applications

4.1 Dropbox: file sharing in the cloud

Founded in 2007 by Drew Houston and Arash Ferdowsi, Dropbox is a Silicon Valley-based online local file storage and sharing service.

The company describes the principle of its service very clearly: "Put your files in Dropbox, and you can access them on your computer, phone or tablet. Edit documents, automatically add photos and share videos wherever you are.

More specifically (Figure 19), after installing the application, the user simply drags and drops files into the Dropbox folder, created during installation, to automatically find them on the online Dropbox service, as well as in other Dropbox folders on the user's other terminals (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.).
