7.1 Don't include time-consuming requirements
Although time is more flexible in innovation than in development, engineers will not be able to devote too much time to this new environmental constraint. Including requirements that are too resource-intensive would be counter-productive. What's more, requiring all innovations to undergo a full LCA would be inefficient. For this type of requirement, it is preferable to define evaluation conditions and/or use simplified evaluation tools.
