4.1 Socio-economic evaluation of associated benefits
In addition to environmental benefits, SfNs can offer social and
economic advantages that can be measured quantitatively and qualitatively,
and highlighted through various socio-economic assessment approaches.
While these approaches still need to be developed, two main methods
can be used to demonstrate these socio-economic benefits and thus
legitimize the development of SfN: socio-economic impact assessment
and SE analysis.
