3. Uniform author names
As with publications, author names can be standardized, and the choice of the full first name, if possible, according to the source, should be preferred. In fact, it's easier to manage initials, with or without periods, in the "Authors" module, and to choose a style for bibliographic lists.
However, depending on the source, author names are not imported in the same way. EndNote recommends entering "du Pasquier, Renaud" as the author of a complex author entry, for example. However, when importing references from different databases, you could, for example, download "Du, Pasquier R" (which EndNote recognizes as Pasquier in the first name, and Du in the surname) or "Pasquier D. R".
