1. Why do you need to reformulate the initial idea?
The reformulation of the initial idea into an ideal need (the term "fundamental need" is also used in functional analysis), or re-problematization, takes place within the multi-disciplinary project group. It consists in modifying the perimeter or boundary of the problem to be explored. It is also a prerequisite for building the project team's skills.
At the start of an innovation project, the problem statement (or initial idea, whether it comes from yourself, the marketing office, the boss, the result of an R&D project or an innovation unit, or the exploitation of a strategic value niche when innovation fields are planned by the company) is never well formulated.
