The cost of this service varies according to the technical field and the complexity of the invention. The service is generally charged by the hour, but is subject to a pre-established fixed price. You can envisage a budget of between 3,000 and 6,000 euros excluding taxes for the drafting of the utility certificate application.

The filing of a utility certificate is subject to a certain number of fees or royalties from INPI. A filing fee must be paid. In 2021, this was 36 euros for a paper application and 26 euros for an online application.

If INPI agrees to issue the certificate, an issue fee must be added (86 euros in 2021).
