5. Monitoring via Twitter
Thanks to its open, real-time nature and the diversity of its profiles, Twitter is a social network that is particularly well-suited to the practice of monitoring.
In particular, you'll find a wealth of useful content for technology watch (tweeted articles by researchers, live-tweeting during conferences, etc.).
Monitoring can be carried out directly from the Twitter application, but it's best to use the free Tweetdeck platform. Originally created by a third-party company, Tweetdeck was acquired by Twitter and is accessible to anyone registered on the network. The results of the watch are presented in the form of a real dashboard, enabling the simultaneous monitoring of Twitter accounts or hashtag-based feeds in the form of columns. The content of each column can be defined using a number of functions.
