This is the first point, and undoubtedly the most essential. When you receive or detect a piece of information, it is sometimes possible, without any peripheral verification of the author, the media, the date, etc., to know whether this information is accurate... or erroneous.

Although this may seem obvious, it also means that you have to take the time to read this information, sometimes carefully. It also means that you have to be in an intellectual condition to do so (attentive, focused, mobilized).
