ABSTRACT
Nanocomposites can be composed of a dispersion of generally clayey platelets or lamellae in a polymer matrix. These nanocomposites with lamellar nanofillers are dealt with in this article. General information on lamellar nanofillers are firstly reviewed: choice of the mineral charge, necessary organic treatment, natural clays, etc. This article then focuses on explaining polyamid-based, ploypropylen-based, polyester-based lamellar nanocomposites as well as epoxy matrix nanocomposites. The elaboration and properties of each of them are reviewed.
Read this article from a comprehensive knowledge base, updated and supplemented with articles reviewed by scientific committees.
