Overview

ABSTRACT

Within an economic context extremely concerned with energy issues, the search for new technologies is focusing on physical properties that could be used in order to manufacture high-power generators. It appears that nanotechnologies contribute greatly to the development of these thermoelectric systems. After having provided a physical explanation of the phenomena, this article presents the energetic use of these phenomena via two cases: thermoelectric emission and thermoelectricity. All these results point to spectacular improvements in the yield of generators and thermoelectric coolers.
