4. Example of the microgrid on the Terre-Sainte campus
The PIMENT laboratory is a research unit of the University of La Réunion. Since 2022, it has been leading the European twinning project TwInSolar, in partnership with the Danish university DTU (Technical University of Denmark) and the German research and technology transfer institute Fraunhofer ISE (Institute for Solar Energy Systems). TwInSolar brings together three complementary activities: twinning and skills transfer between the laboratories involved, communication and dissemination, and joint research work. The aim is as much to develop the laboratory's research skills with the help of partners as to promote best practice in the integration of solar energy into power grids.
