Change in the viscosity of a fluid when a magnetic field is applied.

ferrofluid :

Colloidal suspension of superparamagnetic nanoparticles in solvent, showing a strong magnetorheological effect.

monomolecular magnet or molecular nano-magnet :

Magnetic molecule whose magnetization relaxes slowly after the application of a magnetic field, in relation to its fundamental state characterized by strong magnetic anisotropy.
