Towards a more refined extraction of opinions

The methods presented in the previous section are based on lexical analysis at word level, possibly coupled with syntactic analysis at sentence level to identify operators and calculate their effects on opinion words. Clearly, this type of analysis is far from sufficient to take into account the full linguistic complexity of opinion expression. As we show in this section, we need to resort to a fine-grained semantic analysis of these expressions.
