An approach that studies the location, relationships and spatial interactions of geographic objects. GIS is a spatial analysis tool.
geomatics; geomatic
A word formed by the double contraction of "geography" and "computer science", positioning itself as the discipline dealing with GIS.
graphic semiology; sémiologie graphique
Discipline dealing with the symbolism of an object, which can be managed through its shape, line thickness, color or line type.
