5. Conclusion
Through a project involving a high level of international cooperation, the TINA consortium has defined a software architecture for the implementation of information, multimedia and management services. Using the latest advances in distributed and object-oriented processing, and integrating them with telecommunication systems, TINA facilitates specification reuse, flexible software distribution and homogeneous service implementation.
The long-term transition from smart grid to TINA will depend on the success of migration studies and the performance of TINA demonstrators. Numerous European projects and studies at Eurescom are defining and implementing these migration phases.
