3. Design of a stealth vehicle
An object does not have to be stealthy in absolute terms, but must meet a set of constraints, including stealth. For an aircraft, the primary considerations are, of course, aerodynamics and flight envelope, mission profiles, and then stealth. It is quite rare for all these constraints to be entirely compatible.
To make an object stealthy, you can alter its shape or coating, or use electronic echo cancellation systems. We will discuss these various points below.
