It's interesting to consider the future of the smartphone security model, integrating the notions of security policy, secure element and TEE, outlined in the previous pages. A number of emerging technologies are shaking up this model. Some reinforce the idea of remote security on the server side, rather than on the equipment side. Others encourage real-time risk management, or, on the contrary, reinforce the need for local security on mobile equipment.
