Nowadays, most information is transmitted digitally. We're going to take a particular interest in techniques that use this format. This section has three main objectives:
illustrate the diversity of steganographic media;
illustrate the dependence of techniques on the types of data and formats used to represent them;
introduce elements that will help us give concrete examples of the theoretical concepts we'll be tackling in the following section, mainly around steganography in images.
