7. Taking concrete action
Here are a few best practices to implement for each of the key elements of an online content or application.
Information can be conveyed through images. A textual alternative must be provided for all users who cannot perceive these images. The text alternative can then be consulted using a screen reader, as well as when images are deactivated. Images that are purely decorative and therefore convey no information should be ignored by voice or Braille rendering tools. Whenever possible, always favor formatted text over text in an image.
