As mentioned above, the immersive possibilities of virtual reality depend on the interaction and control modalities, their fidelity to human characteristics and the performance of the systems. The more realistic and ecologically valid the proposed environment - i.e., the more it provides the information required for perception and action - the more the individual has the feeling of having left the real world and entered a virtual one. With the increasing realism of images and growing technological performance, the possibility of making the real world disappear in favor of the virtual world raises questions about users' ability to move from one world to another. What about the psychological or cognitive effects generated by the most immersive environments?
