Augmented reality for assembly and maintenance assistance
Real uses of virtual reality in the industry

In this section, we present the main industrial uses of Augmented Reality, a neighbouring field to Virtual Reality, exploiting a real environment to which virtual entities are added. Augmented Reality techniques are described in the articles "Augmented Reality - Principles, technologies and applications" by Malik Mallem and David Roussel [TE 5 920] and "Embedded Augmented Reality – Mobile Augmented Reality" by Bogdan Stanciulecu
