Contribution of ISO/IEC 12207 (2008) for the use of UML

The standard ISO/CEI 12207 provides us with a repository for developing a process model and defining the product models associated with each software design project, taking into account the information system into which it will be integrated. It does not impose any life-cycle model, method or modeling language. Although it was drawn up in 1995 and revised in 2008, this standard is usable in today's technological context. Coupled with the expressive power of the UML modeling language, it improves the quality of software specifications.
