1.1 Industrial process steps

Galvanizing is the process of creating a coating of iron and zinc alloys. The success of this metallurgical reaction depends on the quality of the surface preparation.

As with all quality coatings on steel (paint, electrolytic deposits, vacuum deposits and others), hot-dip galvanizing requires surface preparation prior to immersion in the zinc bath, aimed at eliminating as many foreign bodies as possible that could hinder the reaction (figure 1 ).
